I’m grateful I get to experience this land in my lifetime with the spirit, culture and traditions of the First Nations people in the elements and animals of this country. My own experiences in nature have directly inspired my personal growth and spiritual development. Without that wisdom whispering in my ear, I’d be a shell of the man I am today.

Naturally, I want the heart of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to have the loudest voice in any development our nation makes moving forward and be heard by all.

Any step to recognise, reconcile and recalibrate a severe lack of meaningful acknowledgement and representation in Australian government is long over due.

While I think that debate is healthy, I hope that every vote for ‘Yes’ dilutes the fear of division and control and removes any other tokenised gestures masquerading as an alternative. Love guide us.
